Mrs. Clara Slater (Matthews) Robb, 86, widow of Isaac Robb, sr., died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. Victor Grant of South Main street, where she had made her home since the death of her husband in November, 1926. She enjoyed good health until last January, and since that time she had been confined to her bed. For the past few days she had been unconscious and had failed rapidly. Mrs. Robb was born Feb. 2, 1848, in Duane, Franklin county, New York, one of a family of eight children of William Henry Matthews and Catherine (Slater) Matthews. She married in Malone, Oct. 8, 1866, Isaac Robb, who was a veteran of the Civil war. Mr. Robb was a well-known farmer in Guilford many years, and they made their home there until 1908, when they moved to West Brattleboro. Eight children were born; Justice Charles H.
