At his 2nd marriage on August 16, 1848 with Lucie Gaudet, the bride and groom declare to be the parents of the illegitimate child born on February 28, 1845 and baptized Joseph-Denis on March 1, 1845 in St-Denis-sur-Richelieu of unknown parents and that the godfather was Augustin Ménard and godmother Angèle Gaudet. They want and understand that this child is able to inherit all their present and future property as well as the other children who may be born from their present marriage.
