Dearest Micheline,

I consider myself very fortunate to have gotten to know you. We met on this very website. You were excited that it was FREE and proceeded to add your entire family tree!

After a few emails back and forth, you somehow found my U.S. phone number and called. This led to my husband and I taking the ride to Canada to meet you and Walter. We had such a good time, that we did it again several times. We also enjoyed meeting your sister, Denise.

You showed us around your town and we had several dinners with you, including one very memorable one overlooking the Reversing Falls.

Even though your health was not good, you kept on going. Nothing stopped you from living your life!

Unfortunately, along came COVID and we never made it back to Saint John.

I thank you and Walter for your hospitality and the time we enjoyed together. May you rest in peace, knowing that you were a wonderful person who made the world better just by being in it. I'm certain that Walter and Denise will miss you very much! I continue to think of you often. Your many hours of genealogy research remain alive on this site and I think of you often.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
