Mr. Tell, who attended Benjamin Franklin High School, is a veteran of World War 2. No date has been set for the wedding.

In St. Rose Church Mr. and Mrs. Myrell Hadsell 21 Spring St., Carbondale. announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Lois Jeannette Hadsell, to Edward Francis Tell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Kitchen, 69 Wayne St., Carbondale, in a ceremony March 28 in St. Rose of Lima Church with the Rev. J. J. Hickey officiating before an altar decorated with Easter flowers. The bride wore a gray suit with navy accessories, and a corsage of roses. Miss Betty Tell, sister of the bridegroom, was maid, of honor. and wore a gray suit, navy accessories and corsage of roses. William Boland, Carbondale, was pest man. A reception was held at the home of the bride. For her daughters wedding, Mrs. Hadsell wore a teal print dress with navy accessories and corsage of daffodils. The bridegroom's mother wore a light green dress with daffodil corsage. The bride was entertained at a pre-nuptial shower by her maid of honor. The former miss Hadsell is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Mr. Tell is a veteran of World War II. When the couple left for a wedding trip the bride wore a navy suit, yellow topper and navy accessories. They will reside in Binghamton.

Lois Jeantte Carter August 24, 2008 Lois J. Carter, 76, of Newton Lake; Carbondale RD died Sunday at the Lackawanna County Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Edward Francis Tell & Richard Carter. Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Myrell J. & Gladys Hadsell. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. She was a homemaker. She returned to the area about thirty years ago from Maryland. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1028 & American Legion Post, both of Aberdeen, MD; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greenfield Twp Volunteer Fire Co. and a social member of the Moxie Club, Carbondale. In her later years she enjoyed watching game shows. She is survived by a daughter: Deborah Tell and her companion Bill Chambers, Aberdeen, MD; two nephews: Norman & Derwood Hadsell. She was preceded in death by a brother: Duane Hadsell. A gravesite service will be held Friday at 3 PM in...Read MORE...
