Richard Thomas Carter, Lakeview Drive, Carbondale RD 1, died Friday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, after an illness. His widow is the former Lois Hadsell. Born in Haggerstown. Md son of the late Joseph M . and Thelma L. McCleary Carter, he was a retired Army veteran with 27 years of service during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of Post 10029, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of the American Legion, both tn Aberdeen, Md. He resided in Carbondale area for the past two years. Also surviving are three sons, Robert K., Perry wood, Md.; Joseph, Harve De Grace, Md., and Richard Jr., Abington, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. William Baisley, Abington, Md., and Miss Judith Ann Carter, Aberdeen, Md.; a step-daughter, Mrs Kenneth Barnette, Aberdeen, Md.; a brother, Wallace L. Carter; a half-brother, Terry Baisley, and a sister, Mrs. Raphael Boward, all of Hag-gerstown, Md.; four grandchildren and several nieces and...Read MORE...
