In St. Rose Church Mr. and Mrs. Myrell Hadsell 21 Spring St., Carbondale. announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Lois Jeannette Hadsell, to Edward Francis Tell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Kitchen, 69 Wayne St., Carbondale, in a ceremony March 28 in St. Rose of Lima Church with the Rev. J. J. Hickey officiating before an altar decorated with Easter flowers. The bride wore a gray suit with navy accessories, and a corsage of roses. Miss Betty Tell, sister of the bridegroom, was maid, of honor. and wore a gray suit, navy accessories and corsage of roses. William Boland, Carbondale, was pest man. A reception was held at the home of the bride. For her daughters wedding, Mrs. Hadsell wore a teal print dress with navy accessories and corsage of daffodils. The bridegroom's mother wore a light green dress with daffodil corsage. The bride was entertained at a pre-nuptial shower by her maid of honor. The former miss Hadsell is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Mr. Tell is a veteran of World War II. When the couple left for a wedding trip the bride wore a navy suit, yellow topper and navy accessories. They will reside in Binghamton.

Born in Speedwell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Willis and Gerbice Stevens Crigger, and wife of the late Edward F. Tell and Theodore E. Benson. She worked in the meat department for the A&P Grocery Store for 23 V2 years and was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Tell is survived by her son, Lonnie G. Sawyer of Catawba, VA; sisters, Virginia Stock-son of Aberdeen and Ruby Catello of Water-ford, New York; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. in Abingdon, MD on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Memory tributes may be sent to the family at mccomasfuneralhome.com.
