Mrs.Betsey Thompson passed from time into eternity from the home of her son, Henry Thompson of the town of Champlain, August 6, 1921, aged 92 years. She was married at the age of 19 years.
She leaves to mourn her loss six children,two sons, Henry and Harry Thompson and four daughters, Sarah Montey, Nellie Perria, Adeline Munson, Elizabeth Rivers, six others having passed over before;about forty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren,five sisters and one brother besides many other relatives and friends.
Her entire life had been spent in the town where she was born. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H. R. LaVere, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Churches at: West Chazy and Chazy, in the Waters school house after a prayer service from her late home. The scripture used for a text
on this occasion was Amos 4:12 'Prepare to Meet Thy God.' The goodly number that assembled showed the high esteem in which ...Read MORE...
