Russia - On Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Matilda Moore, relict of the late Orson Moore, sustained a stroke of paralysis which resulted in death the following morning. Deceased was in the 85th year of her age. She had been a member of the Baptist church of this place since it's organization some forty years ago. The funeral was held at the union church Sunday and was largely attended, Rev. Mr. Hyde, the pastor, officiating. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Ferris of Prospect and Miss Loretta Salisbury of Norway, besides a large circle of other relatives, who have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Interment was in Gravesville cemetery. Boonville Herald April 1898
