Marguerite LANGLOIS was the child of Noel LANGLOIS and Françoise GARNIER (GRENIER)

"Paul Vachon, born about 1630, son of Vincent Vachon and of Sapience Vateau, was a native of La Copechagniere, a town in the department of the Vendee, Arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon, Canton of Saint-Fulgent, Diocese of Lucon, in the ancient French Province of Poitou. Paul made the crossing to Canada in 1650 at the age of about twenty years. On 22 October 1653, he married Marguerite Langlois at Quebec. This young girl, a native of Beauport, was baptized at the Chapel of Quebec, the only one in the region at that time, by the Reverend Father Nicolas Adam, S.J., on 3 September 1639. Marguerite Aubert, the wife of Martin Grouvel, was her godmother. This fourteen-year-old fiancee was from a dignified family of New France, taht of Noel Langlois and of Francoise Garnier, who had lived in the region of Quebec since the spring of 1634."

Paul Vachon
Paul Vachon, was born circa 1630, the union of Vincent Vachon and The Sapienne Vateau de La Copechagnière, in Poitou. It is the current department of Vendée, district of La-Roche-sur-Yon, Canton de St-Fulgent, Luçon diocese.
Towards 1650, aged about 20 years, he came to Canada. He married in Quebec City, October 22 1653, Marguerite Langlois, a native girl of Beauport, baptized at Quebec. Aged only 14, she was the daughter of Noël Langlois and Françoise Grenier of the Quebec region.
In 1655, he received the Lord Robert Giffard, Lord of Beauport, a concession of land in the village of Fargy, Lord of Beauport. In 1664, the concession was doubled. He had to hire a servant to look after them and continue to wander in many occupations.

Son of Vincent Vachon and Sapience Rabaud, he married Marguerite Langlois, daughter of Noël and Françoise Garnier, on October 22, 1653 in Quebec. The couple have 12 children. Literate, this mason who arrived in 1650 became a notary for the seigneuries of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, Beauport, Beaupré and Île d’Orléans where he lived, for nearly 40 years. His son is the first priest born in the colony. In 1681, he owned 2 rifles, 1 pistol, 13 cattle and 35 acres of land. He died on June 24, 1703 of smallpox which took away his whole family and was buried the next day in Beauport.

On 22 Oct. 1653, at Quebec, he married Marguerite Langlois, who was born in 1639 at Beauport; they had 12 children. Vachon was a mason by trade; in 1654, in association with Mathurin Roy, he was entrusted with the building of the chapel and the sick-ward of the Hôtel-Dieu of Quebec, the first stone of which was laid on 15 Oct. 1654 by the governor-general, Jean de Lauson*. Vachon was perhaps already living in the small town of Fargy, in the Beauport seigneury, where on 4 June 1655 Joseph Giffard made him a land grant of ten acres, of which he officially took possession on 23 Jan. 1656.
