    Jean Guyon probably came to Canada with his father in 1634. On 27 Nov. 1645, at Quebec, he married Élisabeth Couillard, a daughter of Guillaume Couillard; she was to bear him 12 children.     'Jean Guyon on March 14 1634, signed an agreement with Robert Giffard and Zacharie Cloutier in Mortagne Perche, Normandy. Guyon settled in Beauport that same year when he received a rear fief (arrière fief) near Rivière du Buisson (river of bushes). He attached its name to his own, Guyon du Buisson.
