'Barbe was baptized April 19, 1617, at Saint-Jean de Mortagne. On February 11, 1632, at Mortagne, France, she married Pierre Paradis, the son of Jacques and Michelle Pelle. They had eleven children, 6 girls and 5 boys. They came to Canada about twenty years after their marriage.'
