Miss Gertrude Florence Stein, daughter of Mrs. Louise Stein of 46 Bryant street, was married at 10 o'clock this morning to Clayton Jerome Slade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Slade of Stamford, Vt., at a ceremony performed in the home of the bride's mother by Rev. William W. Rock, pastor of the First Congregational church. Miss Rhena Mills, an intimate friend of the bride, was her only attendant, which the best man was C. Stafford Slade, a brother of the groom.

The bride's gown was of blue crepe and she carried a mixed bouquet. Miss Mills' dress was of yellow crepe and her bouquet was also of mixed flowers.

The ceremony was performed in the living room with a bank of cut and field flowers as a background.

A reception to the immediate families was held after the ceremony and then newly married couple then left on an unannounced wedding trip. They will return to take up their residence in Stamford, Vt.
