Obituary
Edgar W. Mosher was born in Monroe county, N.Y., and while a child moved with his parents to Illinois settling on a farm in La Salle county.

He was a veteran volunteer in the War of the Rebellion, serving in Co. H., 104th Regt. Ills, Vol. Inf., from Aug. 7th, 1862 to the 6th day of June, 1865, receiving an honorable discharge from the service. He came to Kansas about the year 1878, and settled at Meriden in Jefferson county, and engaged in the mercantile business. In 1886 he was married to Miss Elizabeth S. Peebler, of Meriden, who now survives him. His last illness, extending through a period of about seven weeks in which he was a great sufferer, was bourn with wonderful patience and Christian fortitude. In early life he was converted and joined the M.E. church in Illinois, but in moving around lost his membership, but never lost his faith in Christian principles, and long before the final summons came, he repeatedly expressed his readiness and willingness to go and be at rest...Read MORE...
