Attractive Ceremony at the Bride's Home on High Street - Will Live in Boston
"Pittsfield, June 11 - The wedding of Miss Ernestine Louise Humphery, daughter of Mrs. Frederick Coffin Peach, to Dr. Matthew John Bachulus of Boston took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peach, 229 High street, this afternoon at 4. Dr. Bachulas is a son of Mrs. Antoinette Martin Bachulus of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and formerly of Annapolis, Md. The floral decorations were in green and white, consisting of bridal wreath and spring flowers."
"The bride's gown was of angel skin lace and white satin. She wore her mother's tulle veil and carried gardenias and lilies-of-the-valley. Misses Sally and Louise Peach were bridesmaids. Their gowns were of yellow and blue net with turbans and they carried bouquets of spring flowers. Mrs. Peach wore orchid chiffon with purple hat."
"Rev Henry B. Dickert of Zion Lutheran church officiated with the Rev G. Ives of Unity church assisting. A double-ring service was used. Dr. Cornelius Shaw Franckle of Boston was best man. Thomas King, violinist, and Miss King, pianist, played the bridal marches and Miss Priscilla Edwards sang. Those who poured at the reception were Mrs. Charles B. Aycrigg, Mrs. Harold S. Osborne of this city, Mrs Frederick white of Albany and Miss Carolyn Gimlich of Bridgeport. The bride's traveling gown was in blue with beige accessories and beige hat."
"Guests at the wedding from out of town included Dr Lawrence Perley Coggswell, Dr Allen P. Joslin, Dr Joseph Lichty, of Boston, Mr and Mrs K O Cyrus, Mr and Mrs Charles W. Cyrus of Bridgeport, Ct, Mr and Mrs Lloyd Briggs, Miss Barbara L. and Lloyd Briggs of Ashaway, R. I., Mrs Ella B. Humphrey, grandmother of the bride, Mr and Mrs Herbert A. Humphrey, Mr and Mrs Frederick White of Albany, Mr and Mrs Waldermer H. Friese of Baya-Cynwyd, Pa.; Mr and Mrs Kenneth Wilson of Boston, Mr and Mrs C. Fred Smith of Swampscott."

Mrs Bachulas attended the McDuffie school at Springfield and was graduated from Rogers Hall, Lowell, and the Peter Brent Brigham training school for nurses. Dr. Bachulus was graduated from Bowdoin college in 1928 and from Harvard medical school last month. He is now a surgical interne at the Massachusetts General hospital, Boston."

Dr. Matthew J. Bachulus, 56, of 129 Farmington Ave., Longmeadow, died in Springfield Hospital Monday night following a heart attack.

He was born in New Britain, Conn., Nov. 1, 1901, the son of Enoch J. and Antoinette (Martin) Bachulus and had been a resident of Longmeadow for the past 22 years.
He was graduated from New Britain High School and from Bowdoin College in 1928. He received his medical education at Harvard Medical School and surgical training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and Walpole Cancer Hospital.
Dr. Bachulus was a surgeon on the senior staff of Springfield Hospital, formerly on the staff of Westfield State Hospital and a member of the courtesy staff at Wesson Memorial Hospital.
