EASTHAMPTON

"Miss Edith Leona Bader, daughter of Mr and Mrs Casper Bader of Maple street, and Albert Brouillette of Easthampton were married last evening at the home of the bride by Rev E. W. Lutterman, pastor of the Methodist church. The rooms were decorated with plants and flowers and a small party of relatives were present. The matron of honor was Mrs Loretta Staples of Northampton, and the best man was Fred Staples of Northampton. The wedding marches were played on the piano and violin by Edward and Charles Bader, brothers of the bride. The bride wore a bown of white lace over white silk and carried white carnations. The bridemaid was gowned in blue silk and carried white carnations. There were many beautiful wedding gifts, amont which were china sets from associates of the bride in the Hampton mills and of the groom in Taintor's store. Mr and Mrs Brouillette will make a wedding trip to Providence, and after their return they will live at 71 Clark street."

Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.
