Therese COTIN dite DUGAL  was born 11 April 1716 in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Québec, Canada.  Therese died 31 May 1758 in Québec, Québec, Canada (Quebec City).  Therese was the child of Mathieu COTIN and Charlotte MEUNIER dite LAFRAMBOISE.

Louis  married  (2) Madeleine BERNIER 5 February 1759 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Canada, New France .  Madeleine BERNIER  was born 29 January 1737 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Québec, Canada (Bourg Royal).  Madeleine died 27 October 1759 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Québec, Canada (Bourg Royal).  Madeleine was the child of Andre BERNIER and Francoise-Hilaire BERNARD.

Louis  married  (3) Elisabeth ELIE dite BRETON 5 October 1761 in Saint-Vallier, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Elisabeth ELIE dite BRETON  was born 29 June 1735 in Saint-Vallier, Québec, Canada.  Elisabeth died 31 January 1815 in Saint-Henri, Québec, Canada (Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon).  Elisabeth was the child of Jean ELIE dit BRETON and Elisabeth-Isabelle NADEAU.

Louis CHRETIEN died 7 June 1800 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Lower Canada .
