Jean-Baptiste RIVARD dit LAVIGNE  was born 26 November 1711 in Batiscan, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan) (Saint-François-Xavier).  Jean-Baptiste died 21 September 1787 in La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas, Québec, Canada (Isle Dupas).  Jean-Baptiste was the child of Jean RIVARD dit PRÉVILLE and Geneviève TROTTIER.
