Jean-Baptiste DANIAU dit LAPRISE  was born 25 March 1707 in Montmagny, Québec, Canada (Saint-Thomas) (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire).  Jean-Baptiste died 2 January 1792 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Québec, Canada (Saint-François-de-Sales-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud).  Jean-Baptiste was the child of Jacques DANIAU dit LAPRISE and Louise DESTROISMAISONS dite PICARD.
