Nicolas  married  Marie-Marguerite JANTON dite DAUPHINÉ (DAUPHINAIS) 3 August 1801 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Lower Canada .  Marie-Marguerite JANTON dite DAUPHINÉ (DAUPHINAIS)  was born 7 November 1777 in Berthierville, Québec, Canada (Berthier-en-Haut) (Ste-Genevieve-de-Berthier).  Marie-Marguerite was the child of François-Xavier JANTON dit DAUPHINÉ (DAUPHINAIS) and Marguerite DUPRA dite PRATTE.
