Lillian J. Slattery of Congers, NY, 93 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 21, 2024. She is survived by her children, Dennis Slattery [Julie], Mary Slattery Bennett [Larry-deceased], Louis Slattery, Joan Slattery Harten [Michael], Joseph Slattery [Sherri], Antonia Slattery Sambevski [Robert]. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Joseph, parents Maria and Louis Carfora and daughter Kathleen Slattery Whelan [Brian]. Lillian was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Lillian was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Maria Carfora on August 23, 1931. She was married on May 5, 1951, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn NY to Joseph Slattery. A dedicated wife and mother, Lillian was a model of service and sacrifice for her family. She not only quoted the ‘Golden Rule’ to her children, she lived it.
