"Jean married on 29 July 1640, at age thirty, to Marguerite Cauchon, age twenty, at Beaupre. She was the daughter of Jean and of Marguerite Cointal, originally from the town of Caux, in the Region of Dieppe in Normandy. her mother died on 9 January 1633, then her father remarried on 4 April 1633 to Jeanne Abraham at Dieppe.
