"Germain was born on 1 September 1653 and baptized eleven days later at Quebec. He married Jeanne David, daughter of Jacques and Marie Grandry, on 27 July 1688 at Chateau-Richer. The contract was notarized the same day by Jacob senior. They had five children, two boys and three girls. Germain died on 23 November 1708 and was buried the next day at Chateau-Richer."
