Abbie May Winslow
SOUTH PARIS - Abbie May (Cobb) Winslow, 93, of Greenleaf Ave., Norway, died March 7 at Market Square Health Care Center, where she had been a resident since 1994.

Born in Kennebunk, April 27, 1902, the daughter of J. William and Inez Philips Cobb, attended in Minot and Mechanic Falls where she graduated in class of 1919. She married Raymond L. Winslow in March 1921. He died Dec. 3, 1988.

She was a homemaker most of her life, and enjoyed crafts especially rug hooking and braiding.

She was Sunday School superintendent at the Norway Methodist Church for many years, and was a member of Deering Memorial Church in South Paris in more recent years.

Past Worthy Matron of Dwinal Chapter of Eastern Star, having served as Matron in 1933.

She is survived by her only child, Donald S. Winslow and his wife, Wanda, of Poland Spring; two granddaughters Barbara Caron, and her husband John of Quimby, and Carol Roderick, and ...Read MORE...
