Dorothy Houser Blessing, 91, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Warren J. Blessing, Sr., died on Friday, (March 23, 2012) at Hartford Hospital. She was born on October 24, 1920 in Normal, IL, the daughter of the late Christian and Sivilla Houser. She and her family moved to Ponca City, OK where she graduated from Ponca City High School in 1939. Dorothy married Warren in 1945 during World War II in Oklahoma. They returned to Wethersfield where they resided all of their life. They enjoyed 66 years of loving marriage. They have two sons, Warren, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Coventry, and Burton Dean of East Hampton; three grandchildren, Jonathan Blessing and his wife Marcelle of New Haven, Sarah Blessing of Coventry, and Matthew Blessing of Glastonbury; one special great-granddaughter Eleanor, and a sister-in-law Betty Houser Uzell in Henderson, NV.
