2009 Death of her brother

Eric J. Holmander, 84, of East Greenwich, passed away at home June 19, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth C. (Jackson) Holmander for 59 years. Loving father of Sarah Joan, John D., and the late James C. Holmander.

Eric retired in 1987 from Unocal Corporation of East Providence. He was a WW II Veteran, serving in The U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Maria (Abrahams) Holmander and Eric H. Holmander. He is survived by his sister Lillian Baker of Warwick. He was the brother of the late John H. Holmander and Richard L. Holmander. He is also survived by two granddaughters, five grandsons, and four great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Sunday June 21, 2009 from 5-8 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
