Nicolas  married  Madeleine DION 5 October 1761 in L'Ancienne Lorette, Canada .  Madeleine DION  was born 16 January 1732 in Québec, Québec, Canada (Quebec City).  Madeleine died 20 May 1788 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies)*.  Madeleine was the child of Joseph DION (GUYON) and Marie-Madeleine LESSARD.

Nicolas LEGARE died 19 March 1791 in Château-Richer, Lower Canada .
