Pierre  married  Judith-Angelique LUSSIER 13 July 1756 in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 3 children.
Judith-Angelique LUSSIER  was born 18 March 1739 in Verchères, Québec, Canada (Saint-François-Xavier-de-Vercheres).  Judith-Angelique died 28 May 1780 in Beloeil, Québec, Canada (Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil).  Judith-Angelique was the child of Jacques LUSSIER and Marguerite GAUTHIER.

Pierre  married  (2) Geneviève GROINIER dite MÉTIVIER 11 February 1793 in Beloeil, Lower Canada .  Geneviève GROINIER dite MÉTIVIER  was born 21 April 1726 in Batiscan, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan) (Saint-François-Xavier).  Geneviève died 15 February 1813 in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada (Saint-Hilaire).  Geneviève was the child of Jean GROINIER dit MÉTIVIER and Geneviève PEPIN dite LACHANCE.

Pierre CHAGNON dit LAROSE died 15 January 1810 in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Lower Canada .

Conncessionnaire original de la terre #62 (#67 au livre terrier précédent) de la seigneurie de Rouville selon un billet privé de 1765, puis par un contrat devant le notaire Antoine Grisé à Chambly en 1781. Inventaire de ses biens et de ceux de sa défunte épouse Judith Lussier et encan en 1781. À Belœil en 1774 et à Saint-Hilaire en 1810.

- Fils de Pierre Chagnon et de Marie-Madeleine Fontaine de Saint-Sulpice.
- Il a épousé Judith (Marie-Angélique) Lussier à Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu en 1756, puis Marie-Geneviève Groinier (Métivier) à Belœil en 1792.
- Père (premier lit) de Marie-Judith (1757), Élisabeth (Isabelle) (1758), Marie-Angélique (1760), Pierre (1761), Joseph (1763), Marie-Anne (1765), Joachim (1767), Marie-Amable (1769), Marguerite (1771), Louis (1773), François (1774), Rose-Brigitte (1776) et Jean-Baptiste (1780).

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
