Joseph Hector Paradis, 80

Joseph Hector Paradis, 80, of Carmen Street, Attleboro, died on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne Irene (Lajoie) Paradis to whom he was married on September 20, 1952.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on July 24, 1929, he was one of 14 children born to the late Delphis J. B. and Aurore A. (Rene) Paradis. He was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro and was a 1948 graduate of the former Sacred Heart Academy in Central Falls, Rhode Island.
Mr. Paradis enlisted in the United States Navy on June 30, 1948 and served his country admirably until his honorable discharge on June 4, 1952. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Campaign Ribbon and the United Nations commendation. He was most proud of serving his country and remained a lifelong patriotic man.
