"Josie Mills had married George Bentley, roughly 45 years her senior in NYC on May 8, 1913. Mr. Bentley had died in 1915. George and Josie appeared to have had no children. After Mr. Bentley died, Josie had married Rev. Frank J. Rowe and lived the last 3 to 8 years of her life in Seattle, WA. where she was buried. About 1925 she left NY for California and then later to Seattle where she met Rev. Rowe. She died in Seattle, Wa. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 1935 and is buried in Seattle. This marker is that of George S. Bentley only but Josie's name is left as an indication of their marriage."
