'Antoine, born on the 13th and baptized at Quebec on 14 October 1649; died after 1683. Confirmed at Quebec on 10 August 1659. Voyageur, interpreter of the Iroquois language; at Fort Frontenac in 1677; La Salle wrote to him from Chicago in 1683.'
