Jean-François CADOT  was born 7 April 1693 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Québec, Canada (Nativité-de-Notre-Dame-de-Becancour) (Saint-Edouard-de-Gentilly).  Jean-François died 5 November 1743 in Batiscan, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan) (Saint-François-Xavier).  Jean-François was the child of Mathurin CADOT dit POITEVIN and Marie-Catherine DURAND.
