My grandmother, paternal, her kitchen always smelled like homemade bread. I learned to make fried biscuits form her with regular homemade bread dough. She made us fresh cake donuts almost every time we visisted. She grew up in Tupper Lake, married there and lived there until early 1930's . Her parents were Frank and Delia Ayotte of Tupper Lake.
