She was the dotting great grandma that taught me to read, write (cursive) and do real arithmetic with a pencil and paper, she told good stories, and she would even walk to the little store at the other end of the block and we would get a UNO bar and a orange crush and sit on the stoop and watch people, like we did in Walla Walla at the fountain where the bee's chased me out of the water... wish I had a lifetime with her-she was a treasury of information, a wealth of knowledge, and pleasant to be around except when it was bean picking time, you better scoot along good and fast, and she could go pretty fast too.
