Ursule  married  Joseph ROCHEREAU (ROCHELEAU) 13 October 1788 in Berthierville, Province of Québec, Canada .  Joseph ROCHEREAU (ROCHELEAU)  was born 10 December 1756 in La-Pérade, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Perade).  Joseph died 10 October 1807 in Berthierville, Québec, Canada (Berthier-en-Haut) (Ste-Genevieve-de-Berthier).  Joseph was the child of Louis ROCHEREAU (ROCHELEAU) and Elisabeth COTE.

Ursule  married  (2) Joseph BARIL 12 February 1810 in Berthierville, Lower Canada .  Joseph BARIL  was born abt. 1748 in Saint-Cuthbert, Québec, Canada.  Joseph died 22 June 1815 in Saint-Cuthbert, Québec, Canada.  Joseph was the child of Francois BARIL and Marie-Francoise COTNOIR.

Ursule  married  (3) Pierre MARSAN dit LAPIERRE 7 September 1818 in Saint-Cuthbert, Lower Canada .  Pierre MARSAN dit LAPIERRE  was born 19 February 1759 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montréal, Québec, Canada* (L'Enfant-Jésus-de-la-Pointe-aux-Trembles).  Pierre died 7 June 1835 in Saint-Jacques, Québec, Canada (Saint-Jacques-de-Montcalm) (Saint Jacques de l’Achigan).  Pierre was the child of Jean-Baptiste MARSAN dit LAPIERRE and Madeleine BOURDON.

Ursule LAPERCHE dite ST-JEAN died 10 August 1819 in Saint-Cuthbert, Lower Canada.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
