Julian C. Gabree

SOUTHBRIDGE - Julian C. Gabree, 71, of 99 Elm St., who served as a Republican member of the Board of Selectmen in 1935-36 and as assistant clerk to the board for eight years before retiring two years ago on account of ill health, died yesterday morning in his home.

He was a director of Southbridge Co-Operative Bank and a corporator of Southbridge Savings Bank.

For several years he was engaged in the hardware business in the store now occupied by Waite Hardware Co. on Main street.

He was born in Milton, Vt., son of Charles and Julia (Mayville) Gabree. His wife was the former Anna Lemoine.

He leaves two daughters, Louise, wife of Atty. Rosario S. Normandin, and Miss Lorraine Gabree, with whom he resided, and a son, Armand Gabree, clerk in Southbridge Credit Union.

Calling hours at the Frank A Sansoucy and Son Funeral Home today will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
