He married Madeleine Casavant-Ladebauche, September 21, 1778 at St-Charles-sur-Richelieu, St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. She was the daughter of Pierre Casavant-Ladebauche (1723 – ) and Marie-Anne Pion Fontaine (1716 – 1795).
