Marthe died 16 January 1788 in L'Islet, Québec, Canada (L'Islet-sur-Mer) (Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours). Marthe was the child of Louis GRESLON dit LAVIOLETTE and Marie-Jeanne PRINCEAU (PRINSEAU).
From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.
