Marlboro Man Weds Southbridge Girl
SOUTHBRIDGE - Miss Joan Evelyn Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo G. Baker of 42 Sayles St., became the bride of Robert F. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis of 22 Emmett St., Marlboro in St. Mary's Church yesterday morning.

Mrs. John Crowley of Shrewsbury was martron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Richard Baker, Mrs. Fred Dunford of Millbur and Miss Carolyn Snyder of Webster.

Leo Labrache of Marlboro was best man. Ushers were Richard and Bruce Baker, Fred Dunford of Millbury and Socrates Kontoyianis of Marlboro.

A reception was held at the Dudley Country Club, Dudley.

Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.
