Mr. and Mrs. William Drachler of Greene, New York announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Bourgarde, to Lloyd Lewis Learned, Jr., of Utica, son of Mr. and Mrs. Learned of Massena, New York.
Miss Drachler is a graduate of Ithaca College and is Vocal Music director in the Richfield Springs Central School.
The wedding will take place in Zion Episcopal Church in Greene, on Saturday, May 27th.

Miss Drachler Married Saturday To Lloyd Learned Jr. in Greene
In the Zion Episcopal Church in Greene, N. Y., on Saturday, May 27, at 2 pm. Misa Elizabeth Bourgarde Drachler was married to Lloyd Lewis Learned, Jr. of Utic with the Rev. Albert S. Hoag, rector, officiating in the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Drachler of Greene and Mr. Learned's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd L. Learned, Sr. of Massena. Mr. Drachler pave his daughter in marriage. Miss Laura M. Woloctt, organist, played the traditional wedding marches and Mrs. John Fry of New York City, soprano soloist sang "The Lord's Prayer",
"This Day is Mine" and during the ceremony, "O Perfect Love".
The bride wore a gown of white rayon dotted swiss over taffeta, fashioned with a scalloped neckline, Ions: sleeves pointed over the
wrist. Her finger-tip veil was held in place by a headdress of dotted Swiss and she carried a white prayer book with a white orchid and lily of the valley streamers.
Miss Grace Helene Drachler of Greene was maid of honor for her sister. She was attired in lilac rayon swiss over lavender taffeta fashioned similar to that of the bride's. She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow rosea and grape hyacinths.
William R. Yando of Scotia was best man. The ushers were Donald R. Vosburgh of Utica, Edward J. Ralbovsky of Johnstown and Peter C. English of Greene, brother-in-law of the bride. William C. Drachler, brother of the bride, served at the altar. White French lilacs decorated the altar and baskets of purple lilac were placed in the chancel.
The mother of the bride wore a grey print dress and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Learned, mother of the groom, wore navy blue and also a corsage of red roses.
A reception for 75 guests was held at the Parish House following the ceremony. The bride's table was centered with a bride's cake set in a wreath of fern and lily of the valley. Mrs. Peter C. English, sister of the bride, cut the cake and Mrs. Fred A. Newbold, sister of the groom, presided at the punch bowl. Assisting in the serving were Mrs. Charles Drachler, aunt of the bride, with Miss Vivian Weeden, Mrs. Andrew Currie, Mrs. John Fry and Mrs. Donald Vosburgh. Miss Effie Learned, sister of the groom, passed the guest book.
Mrs. Learned was graduated from Greene High School and from Ithaca College and is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, professional music fraternity. She is director of vocal music at the Richfield Springs Central School. Mr. Learned graduated from Massena High School and is a senior at Utica College of Syracuse University majoring in accounting. He served three years in the armed forces with the 9th Air Force in the ETO.
Immediately after the reception Mr. and Mrs. Learned left for a wedding trip to Ottawa, Canada. For traveling the bride wore a
black accessories. They are residing in the Hosford Apartments, 28 E. Main St., Richfield Springs.
