Invention The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Obituary
Cecelia F. (Klatecki) Graham, age 94 of Dudley, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at home.

She was the wife of the late Robert M. Graham, who died February 1, 2009. She leaves two sons, Richard R. Graham and his wife Brenda of Charlton, James M. Graham of Dudley; two grandsons, Nicholas Graham and Jason Graham. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Klatecki and Edward Klatecki; and by two sisters, Isabelle Gawin and Frances Curtis.

She was born in Dudley, daughter of the late Frank and Stasia (Patrowicz) Klatecki and lived most of her life in Dudley, also living 20 years in Lady Lake, Florida. She was a retired dispatcher for the Dudley Police Department and was a Real Estate investor. She enjoyed cooking and quality time with her family.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, West Main Street, Dudley. Burial...Read MORE...
