Shirley A. (Merritt) Soucier, 72, of Broad Brook, proud Glastonbury native, beloved wife of Robert C. Soucier passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born April 24, 1947, the daughter of the late George and Thelma (Blessing) Merritt. She was known for her charity work and for her caring nature among all that knew her. She was especially fond of running charity events for Special Wishes and the VFW Post 2083. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the German Club amid many other clubs over the years such as the Moose and Italian American Clubs. She was a great cook and lover of animals, especially her dogs. Besides her loving husband, Robert she is survived by her children, Roberlie S.
