Joseph  married  Marie-Madeleine RIVARD dite LACOURSIERE 21 August 1747 in Batiscan, Canada, New France .  Marie-Madeleine RIVARD dite LACOURSIERE  was born 15 April 1724 in Batiscan, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan) (Saint-François-Xavier).  Marie-Madeleine died 3 November 1789 in Batiscan, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan) (Saint-François-Xavier).  Marie-Madeleine was the child of François RIVARD dit LACOURSIÈRE and Geneviève CHAINE (CHESNE).
