Isabelle-Elizabeth BERTAULT was the child of Jacques BERTAULT and Gillette BONNE (BANNE)
"The widow Laurence could not support her young family without serious and lasting help. She met a well-matched friend in the person of Jean-Baptiste Pilon dit Lafortune, 35 years old, originally from Sainte-Eustache in Paris; he had been working in the seigneurie of Repentigny for ten years and owned a suitable homestead. On Monday, the first of March 1688, Elisabeth Bertault and Jean-Baptiste Pilon were present at the church of Repentigny to have their union blessed by Father de Saint-Claude."
"The Bertault-Pilon couple went to live at Boucherville for a period of about ten years, then to Varennes and the Ile Saint-Therese. A miracle of fertility! Elisabeth brought 5 Pilon children into the world: Mathurin, Ignace, Pierre, Marie-Ange and Marie-Genevieve. Elisabeth Bertault was passed the age of 50 when she gave birth to the youngest, Marie-Genevieve, on 7 November 1700."
