BRODEUR, LUCIEN R., of 4 Windsong Cove, Flagler Beach, Fl. died peacefully at his home after a short illness on February 9, 2007. He was the husband of Ellen Brodeur and the late Barbara Brodeur.
Born on January 28, 1930 in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Armand and Louisa (Morel) Brodeur.
Mr. Brodeur worked thirty three years for the former Owens Corning Fiberglas in Ashton, RI and Aiken, S.C. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served proudly on the submarine, U.S.S. Odax. He retired to Florida in 1986. Possessing a great sense of curiosity and adventure, he traveled the world in search of interesting exciting experiences.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons; Glenn Brodeur of Uxbridge, Ma, Keith Brodeur of Brocton, Ma, and Kurt Brodeur of Cumberland, 2 daughters; Gail Brodeur of Warwick, and Karen Baillargeon of Cumberland, a brother; Paul Brodeur of North Smithfield, 2 sisters; Lillian Vachon of Woonsocket, and Jeanette Martel of Ormond Beach, FL, 3 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren and 5 stepchildren. He was also the brother of the late Raymond Brodeur, Bertrand Brodeur and Violet Bishop.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland, R.I. at 10AM.
