Findley Lake Chautauqua Co NY, February 26th 1925

Mrs Martha COOK, the widow of the late Stephen COOK passed peacefully away Saturday afternoon at her home after a brief illness. She was Martha Minerva EASTMAN, eldest daughter of Squire EASTMAN and Louisa TRASK EASTMAN. Martha was born August 25, 1838 at Busti, Chautauqua Co NY When she was about 10, the family located near Mill Village PA (Erie Co) where on Sept 9, 1885 (should read c 1865) she was united with Stephen J COOK , Several years of her married life was spent near Union City, PA (Erie Co ) where 5 of the family of 7 children were born, The past 40 years her home has been in or near this village (Findley Lake)
She leaves 2 sons, R A COOK of North East, and WH of Findley Lake, 3 daughters, Mrs J H HASKELL North East, Minnie COOK of Findley Lake and Mrs A D MORSE of Findley Lake also an aged brother HIRAM EASTMAN who resided in the home, 14 grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren, her husband and 2 children preceding her in death.
