*John McKenzie, Jr., wrote his Will on 17 MAR 1758. On 17 JUL 1758, his widow Catherine, and his children Daniel, Moses, Michael and Aquilla posted bond to inventory his estate. In his Will, John, bequeathed to his son Daniel 96 acres out of two tracts called Hobson's Choice, and Addition to Hobson's Choice, to his son Moses, 96 acres, part of a tract called McKenzie's Discovery, to his grandson Michael McKenzie Mattocks, son of John Mattocks and Ann McKenzie Mattocks, his wife, 50 acres, part of a tract called Hopson's Choice, to his grandson William McKenzie, son of Aaron McKenzie, 96 Acres of McKinzie's Discovery with the remainder of his land, 96 acres, to his son Michael at his mother Catherine's death.

1776 April 2, AA Co. William McKenzie sells 96 acres of "McKenzie's Discovery" to Greenburg Randall (husband of Aquilla McKenzie Randall). Both parties agree that 1/ 2 acre at the head of the Great Falls on the Patapsco River where John McKenzie and his wife are buried will be reserved. *This property is at Elks Ridge Landing, parts then in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties, now Howard County.
