Mary Ada Minkkinen died at the Westford Nursing Home on Jan. 28. "Ada" was born in Leominster, Jan. 28, 1925 daughter of the late George and Louise (Thomas ) Ashey and was the wife of the late Walter A. Minkkinen. In her earlier years she had been employed at Johnson Creative Arts of Townsend. She spent her early life in Lunenburg, 16 years in Pepperell and the past months in Westford.

She is survived by her sons Allen Minkkinen and his wife Edith of Pepperell and Charles Minkkinen and his wife June of Milford, N.H.; four siblings Mary Jane Blanchette of N.H., Phyllis Mitchell of Idaho, Evelyn Bates of Florida and Gerald Ashey of Leominster and several nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her granddaughter Cornelia McNabb of Pepperell, great grand daughter Elizabeth Grace McNabb grandson Rolf Wibmer of Castle Rock, Colo. as well as three great grandchildren Alina, Mikarie and Tyler Wibmer

A memorial service was held Friday at the Hamilton - McGaffigan Funeral Home.
