Southbridge...Normand L. Garceau, 87, a lifelong resident died March 16, 2017, at home after an illness. He leaves his wife of 63 1/ 2 years Muriel I. (Rapanault) Garceau. They were married november 26, 1953, at Notre Dame Church. He is also survived by his sons.Brian and his wife Linda Garceau of Southbridge, Kenneth and his wife Sandy Garceau of Sturbridge, and David Garceau of Southbridge, and 6 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.. He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Blakely.

Normand was born in Southbridge, August 31, 1929, son of Leo Garceau and Dorilda (Fontaine) Garceau Dupaul.

He was a Corporal in the US Army, serving in Korea. After his military service, he worked at the American Optical Company for over 40 years. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, and attended St. Hedwig's Church fo rmany years. He was also a member of the Franco Vets.

The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 10AM at St. Hedwig's Church, Everett Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date.There are no callilng hours.
