Lynd F. Tillyer of Quincy, April 27, 2012 at the age of 92. Born and raised in Southbridge, MA. Lynd graduated from Southbridge High School and then from Rutgers College in the class of 1942, with his B.S. Lynd then entered the U.S. Army Air Corp. and trained for bomb site maintenance and auto pilot repair before being shipped to England and serving with the 568th Army Air Force Base Unit. After World War II he moved to Quincy where he married his wife. Lynd was manager of Green Instrument Co., formerly of Cambridge, for over 40 years. He was a Life Member of Squantum Yacht Club and former member of the Rand Rifle Club Quincy. Lynd was also an avid photographer and you would usually see him with a camera taking photos. Lynd is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years Jennie W. Dolly (Watt) Tillyer. He was predeceased by his loving son Douglas L. Tillyer. Lynd was also the brother of the late Louise Blatchford, Richard Tillyer and E. William Tillyer. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
