Southbridge...Eugene W. "Cuz" Trombley, 77, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Harrington Memorial Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Shirley (Peck) Trombley. They were married October 11, 1963. He is also survived by his sons James Trombley of Malone, NY, Kevin Trombley and his fiancAC.e Dorlisa LaChance of Southbridge, his daughter Cynthia Crowe and her husband Gregory of Kearneysville, W.VA, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a "special son" Kenny LaChance of Southbridge. He also leaves 6 brothers Richard and his wife Dawn Trombley of Malone, NY, Michael Trombley of Malone, NY, Gary Trombley and his wife Joan of Columbus, GA, Robert Trombley and his wife Diane of Columbus, GA, Charles Trombley and his wife Joanne of Southbridge, Bernard Trombley of Myrtle Beach, SC, and 3 sisters Viola Recore and her husband Richard of Malone, NY, Wanda Rizzoli of Malone, and Dixie Dupra and her husband Jim of Malone, NY.
He was born in Malone, NY, son of William and Irene (Lamica) Trombley and lived here for most of his life. He was a US Army veteran for 2 years, and after his active duty he served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the VFW Post #6055, and the former Franco-American Club both of Southbridge. He retired from the American Optical Co. where he worked for over 27 years. He enjoyed bowling, pool, and playing the lottery. He also was a longtime bartender at the Franco American Club..
Calling hours will be Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 4-6PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial will be at a later date.
